What to Expect?

Sundays

On Sundays, we tend to meet together for a couple of hours, meeting to worship God by singing, praying, and sharing fellowship together.  We believe God speaks through his word, by the power of the Holy Spirit and so we make a real priority of reading the Bible and give some time hearing a Bible passage or theme preached.

If you’re new, we hope you’ll feel at ease with us and certainly don’t expect you to participate in anything we do, sing or say together if you don’t believe it for yourself. If you don’t have a Bible at home, we would love to give you one as a gift from us, to you.  If you would like one, please do reach out to us.

There is much going on in the life of our Church during the week as we share our lives together and seek to lift one another’s eyes to the Lord Jesus.  You can find out more about some of our key mid-week ministries below.

Mid-Week Ministries

  • EPIC (Encouraging People In Christ) is a group for those 50+, meeting on Wednesday mornings, term time, to share fellowship together.  Each week there is a quiz, plenty of cake and a guest speaker who comes along to share something about their work or ministry.

  • Our group for those in the early stages of adulthood, helping to consider the Lord Jesus and equip them for life as one of his followers.

  • We open our building on the first Friday of every month, offering a free lunch and seeking to build relationships with our neighbours in Matlock and share something of the love of our generous God.
