We are a family of Christian believers from all different backgrounds, united together by the good news of Jesus Christ – in whom we find hope, forgiveness and new life.
Our congregation has gathered together for worship in Matlock since the mid 1900s and our ministry and values have remained the same ever since;
A desire for an evangelical fellowship of Christians in the heart of Matlock.
A desire for people living in and around Matlock to know the love of God personally and to receive his free gift of eternal life through the Lord Jesus.
For the glory of God to be magnified through the faithful ministry of his word, lived out in the lives of his people.

We function as an independent evangelical church which means we are self-governing and are not part of any Christian denomination, although we partner and affiliate with over 600 other like-minded independent churches across the UK as part of the FIEC (Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches) and stand alongside many other churches of the evangelical tradition across a whole number of different Christian denominations in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.
